To follow up on my previous posts on the Aerosmith situation, it is now confirmed that the remaining members are looking for a new frontman to replace Steven Tyler. Apparently from a newspaper interview that Joe Perry did said that Steven Tyler wants to time off, but never said he wants to leave the group. It looks like the band is looking for a singer so they can continue with their summer tour, which was cut off last year due to Tyler's accident. On an awesome cool note, Steven Tyler surprised customers at a Home Depot by singing two classic Aerosmith songs over the speaker.

I wish I was there for that. LOL. I'm proud that he is showing that he is still capable that he is in good shape and is getting the help he needs. Of course, I will be keeping up to date on this story.

Legion

So this past Friday, I went to go see "Legion" with my friends Michelle and Matt. I enjoyed every minute of the film. The synopsis of the film is that after God loses his faith in humanity, he sends wrath to exterminate. Michael (Paul Bettany) is the only one who stands in the way of this happening.  I have spoken to two people who thought the film was okay. The plot was a little confusing in the beginning because it starts off with no explanation.  I do agree from the commercial, I thought there was going to be more, but it still served as a good film. I thought Paul Bettany was amazing as Michael. It's been a while since I seen a film with him in it.

With everything that is occurring in the world, this film for me made an impact of evaluating my life and what's around me. I will not go into the story in the Bible discussing the second coming of Christ, but this film does evoke that part of the Bible. Overall, the film was pretty good and I recommend others to see it.

For one, I am happy that Johnny Depp signed on for the fourth film because I was seriously going to boycott it. It's going to be filming in Hawaii so that's going to really fun for those that live down there to see. The other thing I'm a little upset about is that Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley will not be in the film. I don't know what this will do to the film or what the storyline is going to consist of. Geoffrey Rush is coming back as Captain Barbosa. I'm curious on how this is all going turn out to be honest. I will keep you posted on further news on this film.

Yes, you are not mistaken. There is actually going to be a sequel to the independent horror surprise hit, "Paranormal Activity." I have not seen this film, but I have been told by friends that is really scary. I love a good horror flick even though I can't stomach at times. "Saw VI" director Kevin Greutert is going to be directing the sequel. I don't know what the outcome of this is going to be since I did not see the first film. I will definitely purchase the DVD and will post my opinions on how the sequel is going to turn out.

This is one movie besides "Eclipse" that I'm dying to see this year."The Runaways,"which stars "Twilight Saga" actresses Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning. The Runaways was an  short lived all girl band  from 1975-1979 which consisted of Lita Ford, Cherie Currie, Sandy West and the legendary Joan Jett. It also had members Jackie Fox, Laurie McAllister, Peggy Foster, Vicki Blue and Micki Steele. Their best known hits were "Cherry Bomb"(which is on my Ipod), "Queens of Noise", "Rock n Roll", "Neon Angels (On the Road to Ruin)", and "Born to Be Bad."

The trailer is a short one, but the movie looks good with Stewart as Joan Jett and Fanning as Currie. The movie is slated to be release in March. Stewart looks awesome as Joan Jett and Dakota Fanning is unrecognizable. I can't believe how beautiful Dakota has gotten. Some child actors look weird as they grow up, but she is just awesome. I just hope that she continues to make the right choices in films and in life.  To check out the trailer you can go to http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1810129048/video/17639827.

Last night's 67th Golden Globe Awards brought out the best of the best to honor those performances in films that were released in 2009. British comedian, Ricky Gervais was the first to host the event since it was always televised without one. James Cameron's "Avatar" won two awards---Best Director and Best Motion Picture. Sandra Bullock won for Best Actress in a Drama for "The Blind Side." Also, Mo'Nique was a delight to watch as she accepted her award for Supporting Actress in a Drama for "Precious." I was glad that she won because she deserved it. It is awesome that African American actresses are getting noticed and considered it be in noteworthy films. I also enjoyed seeing Drew Barrymore win her first Golden Globe. She was completely shocked, which was so cute. I would like to say congratulations to all the winners and nominees. Being nominated is also an award within itself. http://www.goldenglobes.org/nominations/index.html

Yahoo.com just complied a list of films that are mostly anticipated by audiences for 2010. Out of the list, a rough 90% of the films are the ones I am anxious to see this year. I think this year is going to serve us quite a pack of good films. So any further delay here is the list:

Shutter Island: February 19
Alice In Wonderland: March 5
Clash of the Titans: March 26
The Expendables: April 23
Nightmare on Elm Street: April 30
Iron Man 2: May 7
Robin Hood: May 14
Shrek Forever After: May 21
Sex and the City 2: May 28
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time: May 28
The A-Team: June 11
Toy Story 3: June 18
Jonah Hex: June 18
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse: June 30
Avatar: The Last Airbender: July 2
Inception: July 16
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1: November 19
The Green Hornet: December 17
Tron Legacy: December 17
The Rum Diary: TBA

Continuing with remakes of classic movies and television shows, "The A-Team" looks like it's going to be a huge hit at the box office when it releases on June 11. For those who don't know "The A-Team" was a hit 80's show about ex-U.S. Army Special Forces who work as soldiers for fortune. The show starred Mr. T, George Peppard, Dirk Benedict and Dwight Schultz. The new cast consist of Liam Neeson (Taken), Bradley Cooper (The Hangover), Sharlto Copley (District 9) and Quinton Jackson. The trailer is pretty good, following the crazy action scenes that the original show consisted of.

The part that really got me gawking was the nice chiseled abs of Bradley Cooper. I totally adore him ever since he was on "Alias" with Jennifer Gardner. I was also amazed by the transformation of Liam Neeson.I honestly didn't even recognize him. I can't wait with the movie to come out because "The A-Team" is one of my favorite 80's shows. I don't have a doubt in my mind that it won't be a failure when it comes out. You can check out the trailer here at http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1808402981/video/17565315.

Since it's the new trend to remake classic 80's movies, one of my favorite, "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" is next. Matthew Broderick, who plays the iconic rebellious teen is perfectly fine with a remake and mentioned that he talked to John Hughes before he passed away about catching up with Ferris. Broderick says he wouldn't want any involvement in the new film and wants them to have a whole cast. He mentioned that he would rather leave what they (original cast) as their thing. I totally agree on his statement by just doing that. Today, I haven't really seen a good remake from a classic movie that was really good.

I'm actually curious on who is going to cast in the remake of Ferris Bueller.  I think either Penn Badgley or Zac Efron would be good casting for Ferris.  I can totally see either one of them playing the character. It's sad that John Hughes passed away because he written and directed the movie. I'm just a little worried that something silly is going to be written. These days that seems to be the problem with some movies these days.  Note to Hollywood: DON'T MESS UP FERRIS BUELLER!!!

This is it! "American Idol" is officially ruined since it was announced today that this season will be Simon's last. Cowell will focus more on a the US version of the British hit, "The X Factor." I think the show is going to be a complete different vibe when Simon leaves. Simon Cowell is the only judge will tell you the truth and sometimes go overboard by hurting peoples' feelings. That is many of the reasons why I love watching "American Idol" for Simon and the auditions. I mean I'm still getting over that Paula Abdul is not judging on this season, which starts tonight. We just have to wait and see what happens with Ellen taking over for Paula.

Tobey Maguire and director Sam Raimi will not be returning for "Spiderman 4" which is delayed now for 2012.  It said that James Vanderbilt is writing the screenplay and it will focus on Peter Parker in high school. I'm very upset that this is happening to tell you the truth for the fact that Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire are not part of this project. Raimi is the brains and the torch of light of the "Spiderman" movies. He is an awesome director if you have not seen "Army of Darkness." The studio decided to reboot the franchise than replace Maguire. I don't know how to really react to this. I mean they did a wise decision on not replacing him though. With the departure of Raimi, he was feeling the pressure from the studio to meet the deadline for the summer 2012 release date. Another factor in this controversy was the casting of the villian, The Vulture. It is said that John Malkovich is cast as the villain, which Raimi and the studio were disagreeing about it.

This is where movies like the "Spiderman" franchise where it gets lost or out of whack because of the quick pressures of the studio. There seems to be no time to produce a well written and directed movie that fans will adore. I mean I didn't care for "Spiderman 3", but was decent. I don't know what's going on in the comic book franchise as things like this continue to happen. It's beginning to become a big mess that is taking the enjoyment of watching our beloved superheroes on the big screen.

"Big Love", which is one of my favorite shows of all time returns for its fourth season on HBO. I thought season three was crazy, but I think season four is definitely going to be the biggest one yet. SPOILER ALERT: Bill divorces his fourth wife, Sarah is pregnant with her boyfriend, Scott's baby, Roman is free. from prison. So much is already happened in the first episode and it's going to get more steamier as it progress. Bill (Bill Paxton) is dead set on opening a casino with Jerry Flute. With that comes the complications of the trial with polygamy charges agains Nicki's father, Roman Grant. This can seriously destroy Bill and his family and his business with Flute. Alby, Nicki's brother is a snake as always. I really do hate this character and I seriously hope that Bill will find a way to bring him down.

I really don't want to give away an important factor that happened in tonight's episode, so I advise you guys to watch this show. Before this show, I have never really understood polygamy until this show in 2006. It may be a fictional show, but it gives you can insight on a world that some of us are not use to or expose to.

Who would have guessed that "The Simpsons" would the longest running television program of all time. Tonight marked the award-winning series' 450th episode in which Krusty the Clown dates Princess Penelope played by Anne Hathaway to create a more positive vibe on his show. Of course, that's not going to work. Overall it was a good episode to mark their history in television. To add on the history making, their was an anniversary special in 3-D (on Ice!) commemorating on the history of how "The Simpsons" was created. It was pretty cool to know the secret facts on how things about the show. For instance, characters in the show are named by all the streets in Cleveland in which the show was inspired by creator Matt Groening.

This show is one of my favorites and it keeps on getting better. It seriously touched a lot of people, who see themselves or people they know in the lovable characters.  There are a lot of fans who collect all things Simpsons, which I think are really cool. I feel that "The Simpsons" are going to be around for a pretty long time.

I'm so excited to know that the next installment to the "Pirates of the Caribbean" is pretty much around the corner since it's releasing on May 20, 2011. I know 2010 just started, but at least it's not much of a big wait for it to come out. To add on to that, the official name of the movie is "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Strange Tides." I'm just very curious on what they are planning to do with the fourth movie since supposedly "At World's End" was the finale to the franchise. I guess things are never a sure thing when to comes to franchises like that. I mean there is going to be a new "Scream" movie coming out as well. Other news is that another Marvel Comic, "Thor" is going to be released on May 6, which stars Kenneth Branagh. With the delay on the anticipated "Spiderman 4"the dates for these movies could be changed since May 20th was Spidey's slot release.

When thinking all about this, 2011 is going to be a super blockbuster event because "Transformers 3" is coming out and let's not forget the beginning of the two part finale of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows." "The First Avenger: Captain America" which has no cast yet is suppose to come out as well. I don't know how that's possible with no cast yet, but it's Hollywood. June 17th is when "Green Lantern" is released as well. Plus one of my favorite movies, "The Hangover" is having a sequel which is scheduled around Memorial Day. I swear I hope that movie is not going to be a disappointment. I feel movies like "The Hangover" shouldn't even get a sequel due to the fact that it's a good thing and should be left alone. Well it looks like a lot of money is going to be spent at the movies in 2011 and where not even close to spending tons in 2010 yet.

As award season is definitely upon us with the Golden Globes, Grammy's, SAG and the Oscars, we are all trying to figure out who will be nominated. Already with the Golden Globes at the end of January, it's going to be a great race with Meryl Streep with two nominations in the same category for two different movies. I believe Sandra Bullock has two nominations for "The Proposal" and "The Blind Side." The main focus on the post is that Anna Kendrick who plays Jessica in The Twilight Saga films is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for "Up in the Air". I have heard good reviews for this movie and i definitely plan to see it before the Oscar nominations are announced. I'm not sure when, but I will definitely post the nominations for that.

I found out that Kendrick has been nominated for very prestigious awards such as the Tony Award. There is a lot of people who bash fantasy movies like Harry Potter and Twilight, saying that the actors will never be taken seriously because of their staple as their character. I find that to be true in some parts, but it doesn't have to be that way. Shia LaBeouf definitely broke out of the Disney shell by doing movies that credit him now as an action star. It will be difficult for actors like Zac Efron and other Disney stars because they are already so wrapped into it. With Kendrick's nomination, it will hopefully prove that there is life after a mega successful popular teen phenomena. It is already been reported that Kendrick has joined the cast of an untitled drama comedy starring James McAvoy. So good luck Anna on your success.

To start off 2010 be sure to get ready for a new werewolf to throw poor Sam in the dark. Joe Manganiello, who starred on "One Tree Hill" has been cast as the latest protector for Sookie (Anna Paquin) on season three which is returning in June 2010. Manganiello's character is Alcide, whom is summoned by Eric (Alexander Skaarsgard) to help look for a missing Bill (Stephen Moyer). SPOILER ALERT: Bill was kidnapped from the restaurant, where he proposed to Sookie, who later declined, but changed her mind while she was in the bathroom. When she decided to accept the proposal, Sookie came back to see the place in a mess and Bill gone. I seriously believe that season three is only going to getter hotter than the last. Their so much sexual tension between Eric and Sookie that I want to see be explored on the show sooner or later. It's going to be a tough one since I adore both Eric and Bill, but I have to admit I'm more on Team Eric. I also heard that Lafayette (Nelson Ellis) is going to have a boyfriend on this season, so that's going to be interesting.

What I hope to see is the healing process that not only Bon Temps is going through after Maryann , a meliterally turn the town upside down, but poor Tara (Rutina Wesley) goes through. Tara literally went through a lot of things in season two. She thought she found someone that she loved, but that didn't work out. I also hope that the new profound "friendship" between Jason (Ryan Kwanten) and Andy Bellefleur (Chris Bauer) developed as well.  All I know is that it's going to be quite hot and serious this new season.
